LAFW Recap

According to a blogger for Racked LA, Natalie Alcala Jen Awad went Retro and Bohemian Society created chaos yesterday at the Carondelet House.

"Jen Awad pleasantly surprised us this season by swapping her signature avant-garde look for a more vintage aesthetic that felt very timely, considering that period dramas like Mad Men and Downton Abbey are all the rage right now," said Natalie."Highlights included mixed checkered prints, bow front cutout dresses, sheer lace and killer cat-eye sunnies."

She says "Over at Bohemian Society, things got weird—on purpose."
"Designer Victor Wilde set out to produce a collection that celebrates the unexpected creativity triggered by deconstruction in a chaotic world. What that meant was lots of mesh, heavy embellishments, fierce ombré fabrications and tons of NSFW nudity. The show's shock value peeked during the finale, when an intricate tulle statement frock and raver-ready light-up dress hit the runway."
